Premium Milk Kefir Grains

You will get one cup (atleast 3 teaspoon) of Milk Kefir grains, that are enough to make Kefir Milk for years and years, with no additional purchase or other cost except of the milk you feed the kefir grains.

Milk Kefir is a world famous health drink made by fermenting milk from any of these: milk of a cow, buffalo, sheep, goat, indeed any milch animal, and also milk extracted from the white flesh of the coconut (called coconut milk) that vegans prefer to dairy.

This fermentation is carried out simply by adding milk Kefir grains, a kind of SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Yeast and Bacteria) to the milk, and allowing it to ferment at room temperature. You need to use a glass container to ferment it, since metal containers can leach into the sour tasting Kefir, and sometimes, unless you use top class plastic, chemicals can also seep from the container to the fermenting sour milk. Using a steel spoon to stir it or a steel strainer to separate the grains from the milk for the next batch (as shown in the pictures), is fine. However since Kefir was first developed in cold countries like those near the Caucasus mountains of Europe, the Kefir grains can do their job well as long as the milk or the grains do not freeze in the cold or melt in the heat. The best temperature is between 20 degrees Celsius and 30 degrees Celsius. But higher and lower than these is fine, only the rate of fermentation will be affected, being faster at warm temperatures, but too fast in hot summers when you might need to find a cool corner for it. The grains, if you learn how to keep them healthy, will double in around 45 days .
