BAMS ADMISSION PROCESS IN INDIA

Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery is the undergraduate medical degree program for the students aspiring to study the concepts of Ayurveda and the treatment methodologies. Ayurveda is considered as the alternate method of curing the ailments of the Vedic period.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR BAMS:

*It is mandatory for the candidates to satisfy the eligibility criteria to get admission into the BAMS course. Some basic BAMS eligibility conditions are mentioned below.
*Aspirants are required to pass Class 12 with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) with English medium in both Class 11 and 12 from a recognized board.
*Candidates must have completed the age of 17 years as or on 31st December 2019
*A candidate from the general category needs to obtain an aggregate of 50% in their Class 12 Board examination. While, for SC/ST/OBC candidates, the qualifying percentage is 40%.
*Students must have to qualify NEET 2020 by securing minimum qualifying cutoff percentile to get admission into BAMS course.

DIRECT BAMS ADMISSION PROCESS:

The BAMS course is a five and a half year course – four and a half years of theoretical learning and one year of an internship program. After graduation, the graduates will be named as ‘Ayurvedacharya’. Admission to the BAMS course will be based on the NEET-UG score of the candidate. The NEET 2020 exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
