World Environment Day At School Of Management Sciences, Lucknow

World Environment Day was celebrated on 5th June 2017 at School Of Management Sciences Lucknow. A 50 Kilo Watt Solar Power Plant was inaugurated by Mr. Ashutosh Tandon Hon. Minister for Technical and Medical Education. Mr. Diwakar Tripathi Hon. Minister for State Home Affairs was also present on the occasion. After the inauguration, a meet was also organized to address various issues related to Environment. Prof. (Dr.)Manoj Mehrotra (Director, SMS, Lucknow) gave the welcome address. The meet was also addressed by many other distinguished guests. Mr. Diwakar Tripathi, representative Hon'ble Minister Home Affairs (Mr. Rajnath Singh) lauded the efforts of SMS Lucknow and exclaimed that if we are able to keep the same level of vigil for environment we will be able to face the environmental challenges. Mr. V. K Singh, the Legal Advisor to the Uttar Pradesh Govt. in his address to the audience talked about the natural calamities which the people had faced in recent years. He also discussed various efforts done by the people and the importance of these efforts to overcome such problems and improve energy conservation, which will lead the state of Uttar Pradesh to improvement and development. Director General Technical S M S Lucknow while addressing the audience outlined grave concerns about Energy Conservation and expressed the need to save energy by adopting small measures which will go a long way in Energy Conservation. Mr. Sharad Singh CEO and Secretary of SMS Lucknow said that establishment of this solar power plant at SMS Lucknow is a great step towards energy conservation.
