Tgmun Conference 2017

School of Management Sciences, Lucknow hosted the second annual session of The Global Model United Nations Conference on 19th-21st May, 2017.
ShriHriday Narayan Dikshit, Hon’ble Speaker of VidhanSabha, Uttar Pradesh visited SMS Lucknow as the Chief Guest for the closing ceremony of The Global Model United Nations-17.
Professor Kailash Narayan, Pro Vice Chancellor of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow graced the opening ceremony as the Chief Guest.
The conference was attended by more than 300 delegates from India and abroad.
The conference consists of a simulation of United Nations organs and other themes of international affairs, challenging young people to take on the roles of world leaders. Participants assume the function of national ambassadors, simulating various organs, committees and specialized agencies while seeking to resolve outstanding issues on the international agenda.
The TGMUN stimulated five enthralling committees with Global Agendas set out to make a difference. The committees being discussed were the UN Women, UN Office for Outer Space Affairs, UN General Assembly, UN Security Council, Indian Parliament (Lok Sabha), Prime Minister’s Cabinet.
