Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS) is an Under-graduate medical degree Course in India, is of 5½ years duration, which includes 1 year internship after passing PCB Science. Here the main course is sub divided into 3 courses of one and half years duration each. Student having a BAMS degree can practice anywhere in India. The syllabus includes study and teaching of modern physiology, anatomy, preventive and social medicine, principles of medicine, toxicology, pharmacology, forensic medicine, Ophthalmology, ENT, principles of surgery, etc. along with regular ayurvedic topics.
