SF makes special alloy system makes it better suited for deep discharge applications and ensures minimal water loss. It has significantly higher electrolyte content that gives superior re-chargeability and higher performance levels. It features double clad separation with special type ribbed PE envelope and glass mat that provides double protection against shocks and vibrations. Its Lug type take-off makes the battery easy to connect. It has a special Omega type cover design fitted with a Venturi type chamber cover which prevents any spillage during handling. The battery comes with Float guides which indicate the maximum/ minimum levels of electrolyte while the Magic eye indicates the state of charge

The positive plates are made up of tubes containing lead dioxide whereas the negative plate is a flat pasted plate. All the tubes are joined together in a proper manner. The electrolyte is stored in the form of liquid. The water in the electrolyte needs regular replenishment between once in 9 months to a year, depending on the design of the storage battery.
